Competitors are being sought for the Rochester Public Library Foundation's upcoming scavenger hunt that is based on the reality show "The Amazing Race."  The Race, being held on Saturday, June 13, will begin with check-in at the Rochester Public Library at 7:30 am.  The Race itself will begin promptly at 8:30 am.

Participants in this family-oriented fundraiser will race around Olmsted County, competing in a number of different legs.  To advance to the next leg, teams must solve clues to figure out where to go next.  To complete some legs, teams must perform a task or work collaboratively with another team.

The first team to complete all legs, wins.  There will be an award picnic immediately following the race.  New this year will be an award for best team costume or t-shirt.

Teams may be composed of any combination of four people, but must include one person who can drive and is over 21 years old.

Registration fee of $120 includes registration for up to 4 team members and attendance at the awards picnic following the race.  Registrations must be received by May 29, 2009.  Registration fee after that date is $140 per team.
