It is with regret that the Rochester Public Library Foundation has decided to cancel this year’s Amuzing Race; this would have been the fourth year for the event. The library has been very focused on this summer’s major event at the library, the exhibit, "RACE: Are we So Different?". Both the Amuzing Race and the exhibit use many volunteers, and the library values that many of the people that would have volunteered for the Amuzing Race are acting as docents for the exhibit.
After much discussion it was decided by the Foundation that circumstances require cancellation of the event
The Amuzing Race is designed to mimic the popular television show – The Amazing Race (Sunday evenings on CBS). Teams of 2-4 individuals work together to solve clues to reach destinations or "legs". At each leg, they receive new clues; some legs involve completing a task or a cooperative challenge.
